In early 1920, Basant Panchami day, seven leading businessmen in Delhi established the Business Education Fund. The first school was established by the Fund in the same year he was the Business School, then located in Charkhewalan in the crowded walled city of Delhi. This was the forerunner of the College of Commerce and in some ways the beginning of trading education in New Delhi.
