Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd. (PHHL), the national helicopter company in India was incorporated in 1985 with 78.5% share of the Government of India and 21.5% of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. PHHL was established with the primary objective of providing helicopter support services to the oil sector for its operations off-shore exploration, services in remote and mountainous areas and charter services for promotion of tourism.
