Unani medicine has a long and impressive in India. Not only has served the medical needs of millions of people, but also won place among the various systems of medicine practiced in India and elsewhere. To promote this system as a whole, the National Institute of Unani Medicine (Millennium) was established in 1984 as an autonomous body under the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and registered under the Karnataka Societies Act, 1960.
