The legislature of the former Bombay Presidency Bombay Karnatak University established by Karnatak University Act 1949. He became a law of the University on March 1, 1950. The jurisdiction of the University covers Bagalkot, Belgrano, Bijapur, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri and Uttar Kannada districts. There are several Post Graduate centers. The university is offering courses in the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Education, Law, Management, Science and Technology and Social Sciences.

Junior Research Fellow	05	As per DST Guidelines	NET Qualified/First class M. Sc. in Applied Genetics/ Life Sciences	Experience in Cytogenetic & Molecular Biology Techniques preferred.
Accountant/Clerk/ Computer Assistant	01	To be fixed by the Selection Committee	First Class B. Com with Knowledge of Computer & KTPP Act.	Preferably 3 years of Experience.
