Name of the Post : Managing Director (Institutional Development)
The position is contractual, with an initial period not
exceeding three years, renewable on a year-to-year basis.
i) The responsibility includes :
• Setting up and operating the Institutional Development Infrastructure
• Developing and maintaining Alumni relations
• Creating Fund-raising opportunities from Alumni/Corporate and other sources
• Setting up campaigns for R&D projects, Technology Commercializations, etc.
• Developing schemes to attract bright students and faculty to the Institute
• Building of the IIT Kharagpur Brand
ii) Compensation Package : Consolidated : Upto Rs.100,000/- p.m. approx (depending on qualification and experience)
iii) Qualifications : First class graduate in Engineering or MBA from a reputed institution.
iv) Experience : Proven track record in a similar capacity for more than 15 years in a reputed organization
v) Place of Posting: Should be ready to work at any place in India or abroad IIT Kharagpur is also looking for several contractual positions for Executive Officers for its institutional development programme. The incumbents will work under the Dean (AA&IR) with the
help of student volunteers.

All positions are contractual, with an initial period not
exceeding three years, renewable on a year-to-year basis.
i) The responsibility includes one or more of the following :
• Manage and maintain relationship with the alumni
• Fund-raising from alumni and other sources
• Event and project management for the alumni
• Campaign for R&D projects, faculty and students
• Accounting and Fund Management
ii) Compensation Package : Consolidated : Upto Rs.50,000/- p.m. approx (depending on qualification and experience)
iii) Qualifications : First class graduate in Engineering or MBA from a reputed institution.
iv) Experience : Proven track record in a similar capacity for at least five years in a reputed organization or additional academic qualification in terms of Masters/Doctoral degree.
v) Place of Posting: Anywhere within India
